No one should have to live without the hope of a better life
Children around the world are suffering due to conflict and war. 16 year old Hala Abu Saleem lives in the central Gaza strip so her life was turned upside down over the past two years. In the morning, rather than getting ready for school, she says 'I pack my bag, but not with schoolbooks. I pack a few clothes, ready for being forced to move on again.'

Conflict robs children of their future. Maged, a boy in Gaza talks about the sports he loves, 'I used to dream of playing professionally, but the war shattered that dream.'
But we believe that hope can change things. By giving today, your hope for change can mean a safe place to sleep for families like Hala's, food to fill hungry bellies, and the hope of choices for the future for boys like Maged.
Even in the midst of of lives being turned upside down, we are seeing sparks of hope. Despite the difficulties people in Gaza face every day, our dedicated partner colleagues are providing fun and learning activities for displaced children to help them keep on top of school learning and also offer much needed respite from the heaviness and trauma of war. The children use cardboard boxes as desks to avoid having to write on the floor.
